A Beautiful Lie...

"Lie awake in bed at night
And think about your life
Do you want to be different?
Try to let go of the truth
The battles of your youth
'Cause this is just a game

It's a beautiful lieIt's the perfect denial
Such a beautiful lie to believe in
So beautiful, beautiful it makes me

It's time to forget about the past
To wash away what happened last
Hide behind an empty face
Don't ask too much, just say
'Cause this is just a game

(Oh Oh
The end of the world)

Everyone's looking at me
I'm running around in circles, baby
A quiet desperation's building higher
I've got to remember this is just a game

(So beautiful, beautiful
It's a beautiful lie
So beautiful, beautiful
It's a beautiful lie
So beautiful, beautiful...)"
The more I study the lyrics to these songs, the more they become relevant to me at this time in my life. They literally embrace me when I feel sad, lonely, discouraged, or lost. I know you Echelon can probably relate. In a world that can be so ugly, scary, and uncertain I seek refuge in the music. I literally go for a drive every night just so I can listen to MARS as loud as I want to in my car. I'm the one that looks crazy going down the road jamming out as though I'm standing in front of the stage at a MARS concert. People drive by looking at me like I'm crazy but I just don't care. It becomes my sanctuary. A safe place where I find myself swimming in the melodies and clutching the lyrics because I want so desperately for them to become part of my soul. I can just be me with no outside influences telling me I should conform. And one of the coolest parts about those moments is that I know all across the world there are other Echelon who also feel that intensity. It's in that moment I am no longer desolate.

The floor is yours, ECHELON

In an interview with Jared he is asked for his interpretation of the lyrics to one of the songs on the album. In sincere devotion to his own creative expression he simply replies that he doesn't like to give definitive interpretations because he wants people to be able to interpret the lyrics their own way. Each individual will interpret the lyrics differently depending on how they parallel to their own lives.

Having said that, what do the lyrics of this song mean to you? I think it will be interesting to see all of the different interpretations. There is no wrong answer. You have the ability to freely express how their music parallels to your life. The floor is yours, ECHELON

From Yesterday...

Possibly the greatest moment in a music video ever. Jared's vocal screaming abilities are truly majestic.

"From Yesterday it's coming
 From Yesterday the fear
 From Yesterday it's calling
But he doesn't wanna read the message here."

**What is your interpretation of this song?**

"I tried to be someone else,
but nothing seemed to change.

I know now,
THIS IS WHO I REALLY AM!"

**Send me a comment if you like this. I would love the feedback.**

MARS ECHELON !!!

For the ECHELON!

If we are anything alike, which I'm sure we are, you've never reacted to a band quite like you have 30 Seconds To Mars. Not only are the guys sweet, kind, and incredibly hot ;) , but they stand for something.  Something decent. Something kind. Something empathetic. Something no one can fully understand unless they immerse themselves into the intoxicating sounds and the embrace of the lyrics. I will be using this blog to share photos, videos, quotes, lyrics, and pics of anything and everything related to 30STM. It is important that people know how talented they are musically, and also how amazing they are as human beings.  Please bare with me as I transform this into an entertaining and appealing blog; I'm a little new at this. I look forward to sharing it with you all and feeling the Echelon love that makes us a family, and sets us apart from any other "fan base" out there.

"In Defense Of Our Dreams",
